LIFE: The Great Challenge - by Royce B. McClure
- FIRST TO COMPLETE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
- FIRST TO COMPLETE IN ENGLAND.
May 10, 2008
Aaron Strothard - Benfleet, Essex, England.
Assembled between January 4th, 2008 and May 10th, 2008
(Estimated time taken - 360 hours.)
Aaron Strothard. Age: 22.
Estimate
of hours taken: 360hrs!! That works out to about 20 hrs a week.
As I do not
have it in one complete puzzle yet I only have the picture in
sections, as soon as I get it up on the wall I will send you a
new picture.
I do not have kids of my own but my wife has two kids Ryan who is aged 14,
and Annalise who is aged 9. Ryan wasn't as interested as Annalise but they
were both amazed by the size of this puzzle and were very supportive.
Annalise came in the room almost everyday to see how it was going! She also
took a piece of puzzle from the last section when I was sorting them out so
that she could put the last piece in (cheeky girl! :-)) but I got it back
and we all pushed it in together.
Tips:
Always take breaks and try not to get bogged down with one
section.
Accept, before you start, that this challenge will take
a long time, and ..
Don't give up SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR WIFE AND
KIDS!!!!!.
I found that the balloons and sail ships were the
easiest to put together, the hardest being the waves and the
underwater world.
Again thank you for a lovely experience. If
you do bring a larger puzzle out I will be the first to except
the challenge!!
