Hi! I'm a math student from Espoo, Finland, and I want to announce that
I have finished this great challenge. I started on February 5th 2008 and
- after many pauses and getting married - I inserted the last piece on
October 11th 2008. I also completed the smaller Life-puzzle (3000
pieces) while working on the bigger one.
I built the puzzle in four sections (I didn't mix all pieces). The first
section (the one with all the animals) was finished on April 9th and the
second section (the one with the Lost City) on May 29th. The third
section (the one with the Evening Gulls) was under construction when I
took a long break. The section was finished on September 25th. After
that I completed the smaller Life-puzzle in four days. The last section
was finished on October 11th 2008.
I really enjoyed the puzzle and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would
be. I didn't like sorting the pieces though, it was boring and took too
much time. The smaller Life-puzzle's pieces found their place almost on
their own. My husband and I are students and our home is small so we
have had to make many creative solutions so that I could work on the
puzzle. I had only space for half of a section at a time. The finished
puzzle doesn't fit in our home so it has already been put into storage.
I hope I'll someday have a home where I can put it on the wall.
